Water Pump Ducts Question
« on: January 30, 2017 - 10:55:45 AM »
Hello everybody,
I am restoring my 440-6 Cuda and I have found that the ducts of the water pump need to be replaced.
The largest one on the top (go to the radiator) but there are other two smaller ones that go into the heater box that I cannot find.
Can you help on how to find this replacement parts?

The hardest part of trying to find parts is often trying to find what name they are called by the vendor.   The names I used are often not what the vendor uses lol

Mancini calls them heater hose nipples and water outlet in this case :)

I can see you might have the same problem I had.

Once I tried taking them out they fell apart completely. Be prepared to do it slowly and use some Kroil or something like it to loosen that area as it's probably rusted already.

I stuffed a piece if pipe / socket wrench in mine to grip and take out.   Still messed mine up but it didn't fall apart.

Parts stores around here have a "HELP" line of parts.  Lots of times you can find those fittings there.  I don't know if you have anything like that where you live.  Buying and shipping a lot of small parts like that, really adds a lot of cost to the end of a build.  That's why I try to look locally first.
