Do you use the exhaust heat shields on your Cuda?

Not sure if I should buy or not...

I do. I assume they are there for a reason. I'm guessing to keep the heat away from the fuel tank and trunk.

I guess it depends on what exhaust you plan on running.  Challenger T/A's and AAR Cudas didn't use those shields because the mufflers were under the back seat.  Most performance exhaust systems put the muffler under the back seat and just the tail pipe along side the fuel tank.  If that's the case, then those shields probably aren't needed.  If you are running an exhaust system with a muffler in the stock location, then YES, I would use the heat shields.  :2cents:

The heat sheilds were put in place because of the resonators in a stock setup.

I didn't go with resonators again hence I didn't put the shields back in place.

Actually the resonators on a stock E body are under the rear seat.... The mufflers are back alongside the fuel tank..

Yes I had it backwards but you know what I mean.

No muffler no need for shields
