cuda shaker Cold-Warm Air door Rod direction
« on: February 07, 2017 - 10:19:59 AM »
trying to finalize shaker setup on a 71 340 cuda, which direction does the Cold-Warm Air door Rod go. I see with the offset it one fits one of two ways, but seems to work either way. which is correct. there is a bend closer to one end of the rod, should this end go closer to the warm or the cold door?

Its hard for me to "get my bearings" with the pictures instead of looking at the parts themselves.  :D  But, this pic is how mine is in regards to which end of the rod goes where. But the rod, I think, needs to be turned over. I just finished working on mine because it didn't work as smoothly as I thought it should. I had to bend the rod a little in order to get the flaps to open as much as they should be able to do. My rod was hitting the end of the slot before the flap was open enough.

Set your pieces in place and put the screws in 1/2 way or so and see if everything works without hitting or getting in a bind.
