Two questions on 727
« on: February 14, 2017 - 01:25:39 AM »
What kind of currently available ATV should I use for my 70' 727?
Also. Is there an adjustment to reverse like a band or something. Very low mile but 20+ year old rebuild. Trans works fine but is slow to engage reverse. Give it a little gas and it engages ands works fine. What could be the problem?

One thing on the TFs is that the fluid pump is not engaged in park, only in neutral. If that failure to engage reverse is on startup, the fluid pressure might be dropping down while she sits, and then coming back up when in gear. If that's the case, try a few seconds it neutral first.
