Brighter dash lights

Without going to LEDs what would be good replacement light bulbs that are brighter then stock?

I changed the lens on mine and it made a big difference in brightness. Go to Tap plastics and they will cut the size you need with many shades of plexiglass available. Drill out the rivets holding the old lenses and use very small screws to attach the new ones.

Or just go without them altogether.

I remember seeing I build link where someone posted the bulbs they used but I can't seem to find it now. I knew I should have bookmarked it.

Since your not wanting to keep it "factory stock" why not use LEDs ?  You can put them in the same as stock type and you actually might have to turn down the brightness without worrying about heat.

Well, kinda right. You need to buy dimmable leds..

These are a direct dimmable replacement. One hint though..........  they can be a tight fit when you put them into the light bar. You might need to use a file or emery to very slightly enlarge the hole. I had one hole that was a little tight.  The LEDs with the 5 little panels is the type you want.

I didn't notice any increase in heat.  don't need to turn up dimmer much,

I bought some cheap Chinese dimmable LEDs which went straight in. I also bypassed the ammeter with the mad electrical fix instructions. The gauge lights are crazy bright now and no heat at all, dimmer still works just fine. Will be even better once I put the headlights on relays
