74 Cuda Restomod
« on: February 17, 2017 - 09:36:28 PM »
Hi I just got my 74 cuda that I bought off eBay this morning . Got it from Oklahoma and its pretty solid and this is my first Mopar so lots to learn. I'm a big ford guy and now a mopar guy. My plan is to put 5.7 hemi in and 5 speed in. This years goals is to have the body rite, electrical I will be rewiring the whole car and have it ready for the drivetrain next year . Parts I'm going to need and use QA1 k-member, efi fuel tank, repair trunk floor, quarters and maybe tail light panel

Well got the cuda in the garage yesterday with the help of a friend of mines. Had to use the mustang wheel on it which made it look badass.

The tear down has begun on the cuda. Whoever install this suede red interior the mouses did a number on it smells so bad. I have a question how do u get those rubber hoses of the gas tank. Do I need to cut them? The only bad of the trunk floors is the middle were most of the mouse crap and feces was at. So I'll probably just section it off on the new 1

Was going to start ordering some sheet metal for the car but found my hobart 190 welder got stolen out of my garage :swear: . So my parts money had to go towards that so still no progress. I got me another hobart this time a 210 which definitely won't be getting stolen this time. I'm probably going to start sanding down the rear.

I hadn't checked your thread for a bit.  Very nice progress.  That stinks about the welder.  I'm sure there are plenty of things to work on at this point.  Keep the faith, the journey is worth it.

Thanks I will. Probably going to start cutting out the rusty spots in the quarter panel and trunk drop pan.
