Tachometer question

Hello everyone new member here with a 1972 challenger rallye I posted some pics on a different forum and a guy pointed out my 72 has an 8k tach an supposed do be 7k however I see my clock knob an trip knob go through the lense as it should, is it possible Chrysler used a left over 8k tach
