Informal survey of Windshield vendors
« on: February 25, 2017 - 11:23:48 AM »
I may not be able to find an OEM windshield (clear) with correct date code so if I need to purchase a repop windshield, which vendor(s) have you folks used and have had experience with? I will assume prices are competitive amongst the vendors  but fitment, quality, leakage, etc. are questions I would like answers to. Some of the vendors out there are ECS, AMD, Kool Katz Auto Glass, Pittsburgh Glass Works (PGW) etc.

thanks

I purchased a new windshield from ECS for our AAR in 2006. Not cheap.  I believe they are the only distributor that has license to sell date coded windshields.

I have a Pgw windshield in my car. Installed about 15 years ago. Happy with it. No leaks. Seems like quality glass to me?  I'm not the kind of person to be concerned about originality though
