Flip up gas cap question.
« on: February 26, 2017 - 08:50:02 PM »
I wasn't sure where to ask this question so here goes. I have a 74 challenger that I want to put a flip up gas cap on. I've scene alot for sale and wondered exactly what all it takes. Is it just the cap and ring or is there more. Thanks.

getting the correct filler cap can be a choice.... a couple different shapes, if i recall correctly.... past threads.    The OE locking cap is extremely hard to find... and the rubber is often old/hard.
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

Wasn't there a certain year, or years where it was non-vented cap?

It's been too many years since I've been down this road, so don't bet the mortgage money on me being correct.    :grinno:
