However in August of 2015 dealers were shown a prototype of a Dodge Barracuda convertible as well as a few other cars (retro Charger, Hellcat Jeep). This car was scheduled to be built on the platform used for the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Haven't heard much about any follow up info.

The Barracuda is dead.  I talked to Ralph at the Chicago Auto Show, it didn't pass the sniff test with people or dealers.

I got excited about this a few years ago as I swear I saw a "new" cuda convertible on the road in Minnesota. The car was red with the styling just like the new challenger but said cuda on the rear near the right tail light.  Goes without saying I called around to a few different dealers in the area asking about it and no one had any idea what I was talking about.  Chalk it up to a custom build i suppose

Yup it's a Mr Norm's conversion... Got a Shaker & a supercharger too.... Both before Chrysler was offering them....  Dr Bob owns it, bought it in 2011 I think....  Bought one of the first new Challengers in 2008 too....

Nope, they won't dilute the market they have built.
