seems cheap
« on: February 28, 2017 - 01:52:30 AM »
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Probably because of its dated look and that the market for "fat fender" Fords is limited. They had a limited fan base when the started out and now most of those people are above the age of 80.  My father in-law is one of those people, he sold a very clean 40 Chevrolet last year and he only got $17,000 for it.  he had over $50,000 in to it.

Ron - Born and raised in Southern California

I got the 1970 Cuda, but still need the hot blonde to ride shotgun!

First car -1969 Road Runner 383 4sp

Current ride - 1970 Barracuda 440-6 4 sp Dana 60  (4:10)

yep, just as Model A's and T's have lost their shine, later cars will
too, eventually, unless they are upgraded/resto-moded.

That's just the beginning for those cars… Because no one under 65 years old wants them....And anyone that did is going to have to sink another 25K into updating all the billet and paint work

With raw performance numbers hitting ever reaching new highs. That is where the money is. Old slow land yahts are a difficult sell.
Removing the warning labels one at a time.

A different paint job and some wheels and tires and that would be ready for another 10-15 years.
