I have the possibility of getting a really smoking deal on a used Wilwood drum to disk front conversion from a B body...
Wilwood shows the same part number for the E body cars.. 

My question is..    my 73 is a factory disk car..      aren't the spindles different?     Or will this be a bolt up? 

I like that it can clear 14" wheels..

Multipiston calipers and slotted or drilled/slotted rotors can certainly still be a benefit. Depending on how the car is driven.

Goodys, that'll clear a 15", right?

Did you have to swap out your MC?

Only certain 15" wheels will clear, likely not any steel ones from what I recall.

Your MC bore depends on your total braking package and should be spec'd to your specific application.

The drum spindles seem like they typically get $100 to $150 on eBay. I've got an extra set, shoot me a PM and maybe we can work something out.

I'm with Ted though, if you already have the 73+ Mopar 10.95" rotors there's really no big reason to change to the Wilwoods. You can get drilled and slotted rotors for the brakes you have now. The Wilwood calipers will be a little lighter, and the multi-piston set up is a little better, but unless you're really pushing the car you're not likely to notice much difference if any. Depending on how old the Wilwood kit is it might not have any piston dust seals on it either, some of their old calipers didn't use them and for a street driven car that's not ideal. They work but the more you drive the more likely you are to end up with contaminated brake fluid. Their new calipers pretty much all have them now. And you'll have to buy wilwood replacement parts, so you won't be able to walk into a parts store and get parts for your brakes anymore. If more braking is what you're after you'd be better off buying a set of slotted rotors for your current set up and getting a more aggressive set of brake pads, like something Hawk offers. They make them for the 73+ calipers. Just my  :2cents:

I forgot to comment, but someone sent me a pair of drum spindles for free. I haven't seen them sell for all too much. The market for them is limited to specific restorations or someone using wilwoods.

I've got 147k on a setup using Wilwood Dynalite 4 piston calipers without issue.   

I drive my vehicles hard.  Road race, autocross, ect. 

I've decided this would be a step in a forward direction to do this, but not a big enough step. 

I'll have to pass on the setup since my plans will require 17" wheels or larger.
