6 Pack style air cleaner for 4BBL?
« on: March 11, 2017 - 02:24:51 AM »
I really dig the power I'm making with the 4bbl that's on it now.
I'd like to get an air cleaner that fits with the previous owners AAR clone.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Im assuming its for a 340?  You will need something like this.  The only thing I cannot remember is you might need to get the 440 base vs 383 base.  Someone might chime in for this answer.

http://www.nicksgarage.com/aircleaner.htm   Go down the page where they talk about these air cleaners for 4 bbls.  Tells the differences between 383 vs 440 base

K&N makes them in two heights, or if you want the stock look Roseville sells them.Gives us a discount as well.

You can see the differences in heights in my pictures. I started out with the 2" then went to the 3"

Looks like a K&N.
You can also find six pack re-pops on goldbay (ebay).
This is one of those "Cool Blue" ..........

I'm wondering how well this would line up if I got the AAR hood with the 4bbl cleaner.

That's what it's made for. Should fit perfect. Intake height is the only variable.

I have a holley 4bbl carb.  Air gap intake.

I'll need measurements from a six pack car to see if it "stacks up"
