1974 Cuda 360
« on: March 20, 2017 - 02:15:19 PM »
Hey Guys, I'm new to the forums and I just picked up a 74 Cuda 360 and thought that I would share. The car has been in a barn for the past 20 years and was partly disassembled sometime before that. Overall the car is pretty solid with only a few small holes around the rear fender and trunk everything else seems to be pretty solid. The owner had both fender tags and the build sheet aswell. Cant wait to dig into this project here are some pictures for now. This will be my first project car so any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Gongrats from another 74 owner. Challenger though.

Looks like a great car  It appears to have really cleaned up after getting it out of the barn.

Congratulations: I am of the belief that L-code cars deserve to be restored perfectly due to their rarity and the fact they are the last of the breed. That car looks to be in great shape.

By L code are you just referring to the engine option? How many of these were produced?  Also has anyone seen a similar Plymouth decal before that's on the rear of the car.

Rougly 850 automatics and less than 300 4 speeds, yours is an automatic. Yes L denotes an original 360 car. This car is more rare than a 1970 440+6 Cuda and almost as rare as a 70 Hemi Cuda. That Plymouth sticker was aftermarket, available in speed shops back in the day.

Thanks for that info guys. I'm beginning to think I should be keeping it the stock colour. I also wonder how many of these cars survived in Canada.

I know I am in the minority here but I think that is a really cool color.
