I have a pretty basic system made by FiTech, the GoEFI4 it's supposed to be able to support up to 600 HP, I have a little more than half that... When I bought it FiTech was offering a $100 rebate so $999 minus $100.... But then you need a high pressure fuel system, lots of ways to do that, I chose to copy what the OE's did with a pump mounted in the tank... Tank & Pump was just under $500, I also had various fittings & two new 3/8"s  steel lines  front to back.... Total install I have between $17-1800 into....

FWIW if you poke around the internet looking for info on the FiTech system you'll find some people have had problems, most are running FiTech's "Command center" which is the quick easy way to do a high pressure fuel system that doesn't require a new tank or lines, it all stays under the hood.....  Some guys get away with it, I wasn't going to take the chance..... If that option interests you consider the Robb MC Powersurge, it's the same concept but it actually seems to work....  Anyway photos....

FWIW I ran a phenolic spacer for about 5 years, it helped marginally, then I added the Holley heat deflector plate, big & ugly but it helped quite a bit....

I don't honestly think you gave enough info citron, you said hard start but didn't say it cranks, cranks but slow, doesn't crank so I call honesty the first reply said fuel boil buy we didn't know if it even cranked be more specific and the Knowledge on this site will get you going without you spending money in wrong places

xtopfuel I just recently purchased her she was a frame off restoration with engine rebuild I hope to take her out with my parents once a week. I have notice when she's hot after about 25-30 minutes of driving and then she sits for another 25 she has a difficult time starting. she cranks but will not fire as easy as when she's sat for a week in the garage. crank crank with the gas pedal to the floor she'll fire after 5-7 seconds maybe of cranking

larry4406 I think the timings fine because she only does this when hot she'll fire right up after sitting for a week but struggles when hot.

does the engine "turn easily" when hot or very slow??   If slow timing could be to advanced !!   Or defective starter or cables..

the reason chargerdon is asking is because if cranking slow it very well may be a timing issue or hot soak starter, sounds like it is cranking easily and so it could be a fuel boil and not literally but fuel can get hot and make very hard to start, I would post a pic of your engine bay from front so we can see your fuel line etc
