If you want the best switch, contact Slotts.  :2cents:

Especially for the dimmer.

Don't overlook the foot dimmer switch, I've seen several issues that ended up being in that area  :2cents:

I swapped that foot dimmer out since I had it and it was cheap.

I did notice that the plastic plug part has degraded a bit.....maybe some melting or maybe just crud on one terminal which is also the one that has the broken/messed up plastic part....I cleaned it up best I could and reassembled.....no issues so far.....

I am thinking relays would be a great idea....

Getting some info from Crackdback....want to make sure its completely plug and play etc.....I hate wiring.  I can do itwhen I need to but i hate it.  LOL

I am only running stock headlights but I imagine it would be safer to run them through a relay etc.....

Will the relay setup take the load off that dimmer too then?

The plug is likely melting from load.  Pretty common issue.

The kit is as close to plug and play as you can get.  3 connector plugs, 3 grounds and 2 power terminals at alternator.

The kit takes ALL the headlight load off the OEM system. Only load on the OEM wiring is the energy to trigger relays which is less than .5 amps.

thank you, I did in the fuse box thread here it is
hey guys/gals I removed the dash cluster today as I received my new RTE IVR so all looks good and will be an easy deal however, as I have said no gauges work so as I look at this everything is connected and at the ammeter posts it says red but I have no red wire with a post connecter, does anyone have a picture or diagram?
thank you

I believe if you search the forum here someone posted some nice color ebody wiring diagrams for all to use.

There should be two obviously large wires going to and out of the ammeter.

I thought so, I have searched and I didn't have any wires to ammeter, makes no sense. One diagram had a footnote saying none with 60-65 amp alt
