did some not have it, what was most common?

was it "standard" or a added op.?

ok, thought that might be, but seems like I cant find pictures of any 71 that don't have them.
I like it either way.
I am really struggling with if I put them on or not....
my plan was to wait till all else was done b4 putting on billboards," see how it looked, complete , with and without"
but my concern now is can the door handle be removed if the door glass is in,
or would I have to remove the door glass to gain access to be able to remove the handle so then I could install billboard?
I have seen how the rear bottom corner should be cut and overlapped ,but what about the door jam area?

I am about ready to remove the billboards off my 73, I think they hide the body line too much.

This is a tough one the car looks good with or with out billboards .Flip a coin

It's up to you.  If the car didn't come with them, I wouldn't put them on.  Simply because most other people DO put them on.  I think they still look great without them.

okay...
so if I do decide to put them on, do I have to remove the door glass to gain clearance to be able to remove the door handle, or can the door handle be removed without removing door glass?

Door handle is easy to remove without removing the glass..
