2006 Viper......
« on: April 19, 2017 - 01:31:07 PM »
Hi,

What are your thoughts on this Viper? Mine are, it's about $10,000 to much. However it is the model and color I have been looking for. I know he is trying to recoup some $$ for his added items, and that he is selling it through a consignment shop, so the price is higher than warranted.

Are prices of Vipers holding or are they climbing again?

Thanks, I know its not a E-Body but it is a bad a$$ Mopar..... :2thumbs:  :smilielol:

I was considering one about two years ago being sold in a NCal consignment dealer. 2008 6k miles one owner. color is light purplish grey (not typical color in a Viper) but a very clean car. They asked for $62k. In their website for a month and it was gone. Two of my club members (both Viper owners) said they ask too much.

My opinion: I bought a Viper last year. On doing my research I found that in 08 they updated a lot of stuff. Better cooling system, more power, better clutch, better transmission, better rear end, better exhaust system. I paid more for an 08 than I could have bought an 06 for but I would have wanted to update the 06 and it would have ended up the same price and it wouldn't be all factory. In todays exchange rate I paid $42US for my 08. I bought it off the original, 74 year old owner, no accidents (always, always check) and it had the original tires (worn evenly front and back) with 25,000 miles on it. You have to look hard but you can find a good Viper. I would keep looking, if this was exactly what you want though I agree I think it is $10k too high.

Thanks guys, yes the 96 is to early a model for me, even though it does look nice.  :jumping:

2008 -2017 is really where I would like to be. but I am keeping all options open at this time. A ACR is my dream car, and I missed out on one last year, and I am still kicking myself.

The hunt continues......
