    I guess I never posted a hello thread, so Hi everyone!

    I've been reading this board since it started and it's really evolved nicely over the years. I'm glad to see some good guys from the other site are posting here regularly for awhile now since the community of Mopar domain knowledge, sharing and discussing, is really the big draw for me.

    I'm in the process of getting my 70 Barracuda up to Mr. Alan Gallant (for about the last 10+ years or so) but the car will be up to him by the end of this month so I'm excited about that for sure. I had this car since 1987 and I last drove it in 88 or 89! Been a long time but the next few months will be very interesting.

    Not much history on the car, I got it from the second owner. Was supposed to have been sold new in Queens or Nassau County Long Island.  It's a 70 convertible, 318 3-speed manual with factory AC. Originally purple, white top and interior, only options besides AC were buckets/console, power top and radio.
    When I got it it had been repainted white with and the top and interior were changed to tan. I used it as a daily driver year round for about 2 years then stashed it in a garage until recently. It will need a fair amount of rust repair being an east coast car but not too bad overall. It will be a fun cruiser when it's done. I'm not cloning it to a cuda but it will have an upgraded drive train. I'm sure Alan will post some progress pics once the ball gets rolling on this so stay tuned!

    Hey Randy! Glad to see you are still enjoying the Challenger. It was awesome to see that car in person at Mopars North of the Gate.... I think that was around 2005, man time flies!

    Welcome back to the site!  Sounds like a really cool car!  So are you going to paint it purple with white guts again?  Alan has not disappointed me with his quality of work so if I was you, I would be really excited about this plan!

    Thanks, yeah it's going back to purple and white, that's the main thing the car has going for it besides being a convertible.
