what are details of engine and components?
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

I am really curious how 'some tuning' nets 40 HP!!! What was involved with that, sheesh! I want that!

My first trip to the dyno I went from 250 Rear wheel to 270 after tuning and 400 dollars for the tech to change jet sizes and timing. I thought it was a good deal until the timing was so far off it wouldn't run haha. I'm sure results will vary with others.

The carb is a holley dp 950, it had the same injectors front and back, the fuel was way to rich..
He went down on front injectors and up on the rear ones. The timing was also a bit high.

496 stroker kit from 440-source
Upgraded rods
Comp cam 286 roller
Edelbrock alu heads
Edelbrock performer rpm dual plane
Holley 950
MSD pro billett distributor and ignition box
TTi 1,7/8 headers
3" exhaust with open resonators
Electric water pump

2500 stall speed converter

Rwhp did go from 443 to 474
