1970 Challenger R/T with a flat hood?

Ran across this listing on eBay, I'm not an expert on Challengers, but I have never seen a Challenger R/T that did not have the Rallye hood, or Shaker. A couple of other things seem fishy about the listing, like lack of pictures, and no VIN listed, but the flat hood is on a claimed R/T is something I was wondering if it was ever on option.

They were a full on R/T with  performance ,  suspension etc with ralley gauges  but with V8 badging flat hood nothing to give it away externally

Couldn't the car be an SE car with the L code 383 2 barrel engine but not an RT? I could see people adding the emblems and maybe the current owner got the car without ever realizing what he bought

Kind of my thought, but the plot thickens as I do a little more research. I did a goggle search of the first part of the cars description, and find the car listed two other places. One shows the car as being in Maryland, the other in Georgia. The eBay listing says it is in Tennessee. Looks like someone may have lifted the pictures off the other listings and may be a scam.

Very possible. I find fantastic car deals on eBay regularly. So often that it's too good to be true. I wouldn't shy away from buying one but only if I met the seller and inspected the car personally.

Hood was not an option but part of the R/T option group just like the base engine was a 330hp 383 4bbl.  The car is certainly not likely a real R/T and without seeing the vin# there is know way of knowing if it even an SE car.

Some people don't realize that R/T was also standard with a rally dash.

But it's NOT an R/T... Not a JS, likely a JH...  JS could not be ordered with a flat hood...

Okay, finely looks like I have this nailed as a scam. Found the car listed and sold on eBay close to a year and a half ago. Looked at the sellers feedback, and the buyer said he would not meet with him in person to pick up the car, and wanted to money wired. I went ahead and reported it to eBay to investigate.
