Looking for 1970 Challenger T/A heads
« on: May 30, 2017 - 07:23:09 PM »
New member here, in the process of restoring a 1970 Challenger 340 T/A. My 340 T/A block is currently at the machine shop getting rebuilt but unfortunately the original heads are badly pitted/corroded. If anyone has a set of 340 T/A heads in good condition please get in contact with me. Thanks.

The special heads are out there, but not cheap. Hopefully your rockers are useable. Heads are easier to find than the rockers. Good luck with the hunt.

Thankfully all of my rocker arms and rocker shafts are in good condition. All I need is a good set of heads to keep the ball rolling on my restoration.

Be sure you get the correct ones, take pictures of yours for comparison. The ones below on  :ebay: are not true AAR/TA heads. If you compare your heads and they are correct, you will see the difference in the push rod milling holes. hope this helps.

Thank you for your input. I have seen this posting on ebay already and I'm surprised that no one has corrected the seller yet. I am aware of the offset location of the rod holes. I just hope someone on this site has a good set they are willing to part with.
