original 1970 barracuda

Hi everyone. I have a chance to buy my brothers car that's being parked since 1980 and we are wondering what a fair value is for it. its a 1970 383 4 spd with manual steering and brakes and hubcaps its off white with the 383 hockey stick pin strip, 50000 miles no rust some parking lot nicks in it. any suggestions

Yes it is hard to give a price quote without much more detail or photos.  however, here as a ball park range.

as you described it. $10,000 to $20,000

as you described it, and none running but complete, but needing everything to be restored. $10,000 to $15,000

as you described it, running and driving with minor cosmetic work needed. $15,000 to $25,000

The things that bring up the value of the car, big block, 4 sp, and if coded for the stripe.  additional items that help the price, ralley gauge package, sport mirrors on passenger side, leather seats, coded for rubber bumpers. 

I am sure I am missing a few things as well.

If there's no rust...I think the family price should be 20k

You dont get much for under $ 20 k  If its a cuda there is the iceing on the cake

We really need to see the fender tag detail on the car.    It's on the drivers side inner fender between the battery and master cylinder.
Is there a build sheet?
Are there documents on the car?  Dealer stuff, sales receipts, window sticker etc. etc.
Titled?

But mostly that fender tag readout.

These things can change a 7K car to a 30K car. 

Does the vin have a BS a BH or a BP ?

It also depends on whether you beat on him or he beat on you. But sitting after 9-10 years since 1980 means there probably were issues that would lower the price significantly.

Can't see it more thoroughly but judging from that picture - if it is taken recently - Then BUY IT yesterday... Even 20 grand...

From what I have been seeing in the market, an original big block 4 speed rust free survivor
should be worth a lot more than $20k.
