Accel/DFI w/Calmap 6.2 system
« on: June 08, 2017 - 03:33:54 PM »
I know this is a long shot...but is anyone out there running this type of system? I put this on my Cuda in 1995 and at the time there were no systems for fuel injection like this for a Mopar. My engine builder had to have a special control box reprogrammed by Accel/DFI to alter it from a GM or Ford system to adapt to my 360. It worked great and the throttle response was fantastic. My problem now is Calmap 6.2 will only run on a computer with a processor running at less than 66mhz...yeah...dino-slow. I used a 286 laptop to link to the car but that thing has given up the smoke...so I was curious if anyone may have the same problem. I have been watching eBay and CL but 486, 386, 286 laptops usually are for parts  or they have been restored and they want a fortune for them. I know the FI system will need to be updated...but it would be nice to show a potential buyer what it can actually do.

Call manufacturer??
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
