Colorado!

Hey everyone!

My intro:

I am a long time gearhead and a loooooong time admirer of the Mopar E-bodies (Challengers mostly). Most of my experience has been tinkering around with small block Fords and Mopars. In late '98 I purchased a 1968 Mustang Coupe for show (Mostly around the state of AZ). This ride was what I called my 'revenge ride' (another story for another time). This pretty little high gloss, Ferrari Red coupe has won over 100 awards at various shows and - yes - to this day I still own it. The thing that I couldn't get my head around about this ride was at most shows it would be considered "Cute." LOL! Yeah "Cute!" Yet my walls and shelves is filled with a lot of cute awards.

SO...

Fast forward to January this year and I happened to mentioned 'motorcycle' to my wife of 40 years. After-all, living in a small town in the Rocky Mountains, I figured it would be safe and save a bunch in gas over and above driving the HEMI to the store (A Dodge 1500 4x4). That ensued into an argument, in which heated words were exchanged. Words like "I" and "Rather" and "You" and "Have" and "The" and "Challenger"...???!!!...I am here to say you could had knocked me over with a gentle breeze. I was given the green light! After-all these years of working in a 'nickle and dime' career, she gave me the go ahead. I started digging thru every list this and every .com that on the web. Finding one that met my expectations was a long and tedious process. Either the ride was sold or it wasn't what I would call show quality and to build one was out of the question since I simply don't have the space or convenient resources I once had. Finally, in mid May I located one in CA that met my expectations as a ride, my expectations about the previous owner and how picky he was to keep his ride in great shape and keeping it in a real price range for us. On May 24th (2017), at 9:35 pm, we rolled onto our driveway - in Salida, CO - with the following ride on the rental trailer...

I don't think I'll be hearing the word "Cute", at the shows, from here on out! ;)

Welcome to the site and congrats on your taste in wives and cars! That's a beauty of a Challenger and I wish you the enjoyment of driving it. Take your wife out for a nice ride and perhaps an ice cream as well!

Welcome from a fellow Coloradoan and Challenger owner 100 miles due east of you. You'll have to get used to hearing the words "Bad ass" at the shows now I guess.

Any shows your direction? I need to roll some miles on the 440 to break-er in this summer.

Hey,         I live in Salida...........
Well, I should say that I almost live in Salida. LOL! Mi casa is located 5 miles past the regional med center along the beaten path to BV. I took my Challenger into town twice since I brought it home (Once almost gave me a personal intro to the local law along 50 - Yikes!).
