Group 24 battery tie down
« on: June 20, 2017 - 06:01:13 PM »
Hi guys, running a group 24 battery with the topper that emulates the look of the group 27 battery (see pic). The red caps are closer together on the battery topper than they are on the original group 27, so the stock tie down does not work. Anyone  recommend a solution?

Well  , not that it would work, but if you took the two center caps off, would the rod lay flat on the top and the caps then reinstall in the holes and just maybe touch the edge of the caps..........I really don't know how close they are but worth a try...or slightly trim off the side of the cap just a bit....???

Ahhhhhh I like that idea. I've been thinking of these in the sense of traditional caps that hold back fluid, but you're right, there is nothing under there...Worth a try.
