2017 Billet Silver Scat Pack
« on: June 20, 2017 - 08:59:32 PM »
Hi, I thought I would reintroduction myself now that I'm driving a New 2017 Billet Silver Challenger Scat Pack. I picked it up from the dealer (Szott/M-59 Dodge) last Thursday. Great dealer to work with, everything went smooth as silk, good price too. Anyways, I've been waiting for this since they first came out, now that my son's out of college we can finally afford it. I've been into mopars since my high school days back in the seventies. I also, actually worked at Dodge Main where the original Challenger and Cuda were made for a short stint. Unfortunately, they were making Volares and Aspens. Anyways, the wife has a 2015 Charger in Jazz Blue, we also have a 2016 Ram 1500 crew cab, both nice vehicles. I also have a 2005 Mustang GT with only 19K miles on it. But anyways the new Challenger has the performance package, SG II, Leather Group, Convenience Group, but no SPAG, so I maybe asking about where to get that Bumble Bee Stripe from. BTW, I still have that 1970 Challenger and a 1970 Cuda still, but they need to be restored. Talk to you later, Snowdoggie

SWEet ride!  I like that u got the hellcat style wheels rather than the usual scat pack wheels, I like the style much better.  Did it come with 245s like most Scat's or does it get 275s?  Just curious if they are hellcat style or the actually same wheels that are wider than the other scat wheels

Thanks!,  Yes Hellcat Wheels, tires, and brakes,  which are the 275s, and 6 piston Brembo Brakes, all for "Only"  an $2,200 option.  I thought it was worth it.  It still smokes those tires really easily.

Beautiful. I got my stripe off eBay. It wasn't too hard to put on, just take your time.

Yep, I'm gonna give it a try.  If all goes well with the bumble bee stripe on the back,  I'm getting the hood black out on the raised portion of the hood with the R/T call-out on it.  I always like that.

No comment on the new car, not my thing... But if the linked Cuda's VIN matches the build sheet it's not a Green car, it's Deep Burnt Orange Metallic...

Hmm,  unless it's for the Challenger I have.  But I'll let you tell me that, since you seems pretty knowledgeable able VINs and build sheets.

The sheet is for a 70 Cuda 383 4spd with an 8.75 with a non S/G 3.23 & a black vinyl interior   If you look at the numbers on your sheet that are blanked out in the online picture those should match the VIN number of the car

Hmm, that's really interesting, unfortunately it's in storage right now and not the easiest thing to get too.  Everything else seems to fit, except the color, which is Ivy Green, even under the carpet and dash.  The only other thing I could think of is that build sheet was from one of the several seats I bought and the build sheet came from one of those.  The other funny thing is that the Challenger was Deep Burnt Metallic Orange, later painted white, by me.  It was a basket case when I got it,  put it back together and paint it white, of course now it's a basket case again.

It's not uncommon for cars to have a build sheet from the wrong car, When the car comes down the assembly line the sheets sort of follow the car but if the guy installing the seats knows the car is getting black vinyl buckets & there is a black vinyl bucket close by it's going in the car... The sheet in that bucket seat may belong to the Cuda directly ahead or behind the one he's working on but it's gonna get found twenty years later by someone working on that Cuda.. If in the future you check & the sheet doesn't match your car you might want to post the VIN on the sheet so if that Cuda is still around the owner might have a chance of finding it/you.....

Enjoy your new ride!...
