I don't know if it's an exact match to original and I really don't care. It looks damn good to me. Don't pay any attention the the dust on the black part. Haven't gotten around to cleaning that yet.

I don't think the Totally Auto paint is an exact match to the factory original argent.  I think it was Scott Smith that started a post on Moparts years ago that showed the differences.  He was trying to find a more correct paint.  He found four or five different Krylon shades and did a sprayout off all of them.  I think he compared the Krylon to some NOS argent maybe?  Anyway, in Scott's opinion, the Krylon was a closer match then the Totally Auto paint.

Then there is the cost.  A lot of people complained of the high cost, then their can clogged and wouldn't spray.

The cost of the Totally Auto paint is pretty ridiculous but the textured Kryon seems nearly impossible to find. And yes, the Totally Auto paint does constantly clog the tip. Had to remove the nozzle and blow it out with air to clear it several times. I am happy with the finished product though.

I've got a can and will eventually do my '70 Cuda grille. Can you tell me how you prepped yours. Was is the basic sand, prime and paint?

Mine was already painted but was really starting to show it age so I just gave it a good scrubbing with soap & water, blew it off and sprayed the new right over the old. That's probable not the "right" way to do it but it looks great. Will see how it holds up.
