Good article! I tested my OEM fan clutch the same way (440 6 Pack) and found that it was too loose. Changed it out with the Hayden replacement, which felt right but made no difference. 203-205 degrees all the time, with either fan clutch. It never overheats but that temp makes me nervous...
with alum heads, there is an ideal eng temp for max power, but dont recall what it is. Maybe around 200?
