Site problems seeing pictures
« on: July 02, 2017 - 09:53:29 AM »
I am now having issues on this site seeing member's posted pictures, especially anything involving photobucket. The photobucket pictures show a speedo stating that a profile must be updated. I signed into photobucket and looked at my member profile but don't see anything that I can update. Please help.

Thank you
Daryl

Photobucket decided to charge users $400/year for their hosting. Until paid, all of their linked images show up as the  "speedo".

Basically photos being held hostage until $400.00 ransom paid annually to kidnapper. Then, photos will be set free. No pun intended.

Thanks guys. Figured that out by visiting their site. $400/year is insane and not going to happen on my end.

It's the new norm.

Imageshack did this too a few years ago.

Use this and you won't ever be ransomed.
Transfer to a travel drive.

How does that work?
No account, upload everything individually?

Has anyone found a good site for hosting pics?

Why does anyone need hosting when you have Travel Drives?

Host your picture first, then stick travel drive in.
Transfer picture to Travel drive.

And then if you want, delete picture from PC and keep room on it.

Your picture is safe and sound.
No virus can evade it, no website ransoms, no hard drive crash can ever take it away.

It's yours forever. 8GB or more can hold tons.
