    I'd like your CANDID feedback on what the asking price for my car would be.  Thanks for your quick response.

    I don't know crap about trying to price a car. It may show in my response. 25K for yours with a built engine and new paint seems low (I wish I saw one in your condition for that price when I was looking). You have a Cuda which is already desirable. Granted its not numbers matching and all that crap, but it's still in good shape with a 600HP built stroker. Assuming you have receipts, and they're not worried about the craftsmanship of the engine, then I'd start it higher. 37K. Maybe settle at 34K? Most tired 440 engines stuffed into a 73 are going for 18K from what I see online. And they're far from the condition of yours. Somebody will come along that will pay for the convenience. In the meantime you enjoy it until that person comes along, or you decide you just want it gone.

    The reason I said 28K is because it is not the factory color, not numbers matching and not a 4 speed.  I think if it was numbers matching, then sure . . . it may sell over 30K.   :2cents:

    you make good points. I'd say thats a fair price. I'd still hold out for the excited buyer who gets intoxicated with the HP of that stroker. Nothing like hearing that thing rumble through a 3 inch exhaust and being able to hang with most of the newer mills out there in a classic package with good paint for 28-35K. Somebody will make an impulse buy. I know that if I ever sold mine I would never get the money out of it. It's the same thing. 73 Cuda/340 car originally. Nothing is matching anymore to the fender tag. 505 stroker, and starting to put in all new suspension. I paid 18K for it with a tired 440. Id want to drive the crap out of it first before I let it go for 28K. Maybe I was an impulse buyer to spend 18K on mine haha. (I know I was, fell in love with the stance seeing that thing come down the road).

    Not that this one falls into the category of "pro touring" and in the world of Mopar maybe even numbers matching is a bigger deal even for a 72-4 but I've been seeing well done cars of this ilk commanding more dollars than many of their restored counterparts..
    I'm trying real hard to remember exactly the year a very well done 'Cuda it was that had a stroked big block & hung on updated suspension/brakes that pushed 80K a while back

    To be honest (and maybe I don't follow values as closely as others), I don't know that numbers matching really has as much of an impact on the 72-74 cars. They are my preferred years as I love the round taillights! I also like the grill. Hate the stock bumpers (73-74). I mean really, does anyone much care about the originality or "correctness" of a low compression small block? Certainly not as many as care about an earlier big block! The prices of restored cars should make that clear. So, if you want a super fun toy... why not start with something that isn't going to break the bank before you even get started? This is a perfect platform! You have to be careful because it is really easy to dump a bunch more money into them that they are worth! For example, I've seen Hemi swaps that baffle me.

    I like this car. I think the fact that it's all fresh, doesn't have an abundance of personal touches, and doesn't have a hodgepodge of racecar wannabe chrome parts will really help it sell. It's also a stout big block with a overdrive manual transmission wrapped in a Cuda body. There isn't much not to like! I am not a giant fan of the black scoops but that's a much easier fix than say, wheel tubs, a blower, or a one-off custom interior. Sometimes painted bumpers look "cheap" but I don't get that feeling here. Maybe it's the quality of the surrounding components. It's "plausibly stock". This is the type of car that is ripe for getting snapped up by an overseas buyer who cares more about cool than documentation. I mean, people in the US like them too but they don't throw around cash the same way.

    I would hope you'd get at least $30k. I'm seeing "driver" quality small block cars advertised for close to that these days. I think more like $40k if you can find a buyer who also likes big blocks with round taillights. I know it would be tough for most people to build one for that amount. Much higher and you get into the range of more desirable cars. Not to say someone wouldn't get all drunk and go nuts over it at a big auction. There's no guarantee though.

    Also, you incorrectly used "break lines" in your book.

    This makes me miss my 73 and what could have been...

    I like these items to be in vehicle. 
    also the battery and cables to be new...
    I have seen on cars-on-line 440-6 pack cuda's with walmart batteries and battery cables with beat up after marker clamps. ANd they want big bucks.

    Forking out big bucks and then having to purchase those items is BS.

    Sweet ride!! I like both the numbers matching trailer queens for their historical value, but nothing better than to see a mopar in motion. Hang tight and you will find the person that desires all the upgrades so they can drive the car better than back in the day. I would considered it, just don't have the space or the extra cash now....

    I sold my H-code 340 Cuda 4spd... color change from rallye red to black...no FT or BS. It was rotisserie restored, and sold it for just under 30k 2yrs ago. Big mistake... not being a 4spd is gonna hurt value IMHO. I'd say 28-30k. I'd say 32-36 if it had a 4spd

    Am I wrong or is a Tremec TKO 600 a 5-speed??? All of what I'm reading that was done to the car sounds "right" to me.

    I have been looking for a car like this and if the money is "right" would park it in my garage!!!
