getting ready to put on some amd quarters on my 73 cuda. where the quarter wraps around the door jamb , should the transition be completely smooth , or does the edge of the quarter that wraps around lay on top of the door jamb ? my car has it smooth on the pass side and on top of the door jamb on dr side. im thinking it should be smooth.

No, it shouldn't be completely smooth. You should be able to see the edge of the quarter panel and the spot welds that hold it on. There was probably some seam sealer there but it shouldn't be finished off completely.

If your not putting full quarters on and your quarters are originals I'd cut the quarter about an inch from the end and leave the factory edge on.

ok thanks. pass quarter must have been replaced at one time. I will take a close look at dr side and duplicate that.
