1970 challenger front bumper
« on: July 20, 2017 - 08:48:37 PM »
Has anyone have opinions on 70 challenger front bumpers?   goodmark has a GMK212000070A and a GMK212000070, whats the difference? they both have no slot for a 70.

This sound really good if the quality is good.

Front; Chrome. W/O Jack Slots. $193.79   Shipping   $21.99   Total   $215.78

I was looking at those too. Great price. If you get one, please post your opinions once you have it installed.

This is my experience so far:

I have to say I am completely disappointed, this bumper has the inner mounting holes off, cannot bolt on the bumper guards, both ends of the bumpers has grinding marks. It appears that this bumper was a factory second, or a defect. I have pictures I can send to any one interested.  I have the option to return the bumper but I would have to pay for shipping. This bumper should not have not been sold in this poor condition and should be considered  unusable  condition. I have sent a pm to rock auto, lets see what happens.

Sorry to hear that brotow. I appreciate you putting out what you found. I'll keep it in mind when I order new bumpers in the coming months.

Up date on my bumper issue. Returned the bumper to Rock auto, They sent a prepaid return label, and has credited my credit card. There is still some good guys out there, Thank you Rock auto. Goodmark should have not let this bumper leave their building.

Keystone bumpers are the best.
I think Dave at Roseville has them.
I had AMD and sent them back. Got keystone and they were flawless

sent Dave an email, I searched for Keystone bumpers and found a place called Keystone that has a network of junk yards to locate parts?

I have a 74 Challenger...   I bought the 74 front bumper by Goodmark from Rock Auto.   Have had no problems with it at all.   When installing it was off "very slightly" on the bracket holes...but then those are 50 year old brackets...they could be off also.  The 74s have those big ugly overrider bumper guards which i hate.   Left them off and filled in the holes with bumper bolts.

They were then and still out of stock for the 74 rear bumper... Or i would have bought it as well.   I could buy 70-72 rear bumper, but, then id have to buy or make 70-72 brackets to fit.   Maybe its just the luck of the draw ??

Looking on E-bay and other vendor sources and it seems that there are only in reality two manufacturers...   Goodmark and AMD.   Could be wrong on this.

I also had looked into re-chroming my original...but...price was $425 plus shipping...   so...no way...  New AMD is $269 plus shipping.
