An open letter to Jim and my friends @ Cuba-Challenger.com
The journey with my plum crazy 1970 Dodge Challenger was all encompassing. Although I was never able to see the project to completion it ended up in good hands and someone who had the ability to get it back on the road where it belongs. Going down the path of restoration lead me to an incredible amount of knowledge about vehicles and the specialties that are out there. But most importantly it lead me do some of the most interesting,knowledgeable and understanding people I could have ever hoped to meet.
The thrill of the hunt, looking for that one piece I still needed, the rare NOS piece to get my project one step closer to completion. Finding not just somebody to re-do my wiring harnesses but finding a skilled craftsmen that loved the vehicle as much as I do and willing to go the extra to achieve as close to perfect as you can get. I found that in Jim. A God loving man, not afraid in today's world to share his convictions. A man who like Jules, was given a gift by the creator to not only love his work but to be able to achieve excellence in what he does.
I cannot even begin to count how many times over the years I checked my phone or my iPad to see if I had gotten a response to a post or just to read what other people are posting and to see the cars, the beautiful cars that you all have put together. I wish I could mention you all by name, The ones that I have met, shared knowledge with, and exchanged parts but that list would be endless and I am sure to leave somebody out,and I would never wish to offend any one on this board. For you, are all my friends.
In the coming days I will post the last two parts that I have from my project. They will be free to the first person that responds and wants to pay shipping.
