Well figured I'd start a build thread but not sure if it goes here or resto mod . Plan is to put in a built 6.4 hemi with 6 speed, gerst coilover front suspension and custom 4 link rear with double adjustable coilovers and built Dana 60.
Here is what I've got so far , took the 60 out of the duster I was building , got the frame plated and got the lower coilover mounts on the axle . Need to cut the brackets off that were for the duster then once the frame mounts show up I can get those welded in

I hope you have something more substantial then the stock shock crossmember in mind to connect your coilovers to....

yeah ill probably have to cut it out and make a tube cross member or figure out a good way to re-enforce since it bends by hand   but for now its good for mock up

got the frame mount brackets delivered today  but are not going to work like I planned , Ill have to shorten the upper links in order to clear the floor at full bump by doing this it doesn't allow the brackets to line up correctly from frame side to axle side .plan is build a sort of sub frame if you will that the upper links will attach to then that subframe will have supports that tie back into the upper coilover mounts . it will be more work than cutting the upper brackets off the axle and starting over but should turn out decent , hoping to start on all that this weekend . already got the original shock mount cross member cut out but will have to pull the axle for more working room

I did the same thing for my cuda; I removed the cross member and cut out and rebuilt the area where the shock actually bolts in. I also added a number of gussets across the member, also added supports and gussets where the member meets the frame.

more progress , shot of the shock cross member cut out and new cross member for the upper link mounts . the new cross member for the coilover will tie into this cross member for even more support

got more done today  , the hoops legs go thru both sides of the frame and are plated on the inside of the frame .tomorrow ill see if I can make the upper coilover mounts off the hoops

I know very little about these suspension upgrades so not sure what is normal or not but I really admire metal fabrication stuff like this. Love the pics! Keep em coming please.
