1973 Nissan with 1970 Challenger front end
« on: September 07, 2017 - 07:20:31 PM »
My nephew called me to see what I thought about a 1973 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT. He wants something different. I researched Skyline 2000GT and it a quite a little performer. It is uncanny how the front end looks similar to a 1970 Challenger front end.

Skylines have a cult following
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

The first time I saw the car, it was sitting on a flatbed tow truck. It had no drive train or interior. It wasn't much to look at, other than the Challenger grille and taillights. But, I knew it would be coming home with me.

My 1973 Datsun 240z

The concept behind this car is based on the idea of an American car with Japanese reliability. It also makes it somewhat unique, as I am using a non-American engine in an American car. This would be my second attempt at building an LSx Datsun (click here for details).  I previously completed a 1971 240z that I thought was pretty cool. It was my daily driver from 2012-2015. I had been searching for a 1973 240z as a project car but wanted to try something different.  I started looking at 240z's on Craigslist and came across this '73 Datsun with the front of a 1970 Challenger. The pictures showed it to be complete, so I headed out to take a look.

Are there any pictures of it here in the forum?
