HEADS UP! (email scam)
« on: July 07, 2005 - 10:11:26 AM »
The 419 advance fee scam. I keep getting emails from some one saying that im the next of kin  to a dead relative and will be getting $18.4 mill. That would be nice, but its a scam. The emails are from Nigeria. I know you all could spot it but i wanted to let you all know anyway.

Actually most think they are scams, but most are really set up to spread viruses or spyware on your computer.. so never open up attachments.. esp those that say forward to 10 of your friends for good fortune etc..

got to tell my wife's friends relatives to stop forwarding that crap. I delete them as soon as i see them.

normally your address gets on those lists because you have bought/used/regestered on a site with similar content
