1971 Cuda Complete Rally Dash
« on: September 13, 2017 - 09:14:51 PM »
I'm looking for the original Rally Dash that was unlawfully parted out while my 71 cuda was in a restoration shop in London KY. The shop was Creative Kustoms. No questions asked, just hope someone can help me locate the dash.
Call 606-481-9014 and ask for Daniel.

It's happened when the car was owned by the previous owner several years ago. I traded to the car afterwards. The guy was so disheartened that he just wanted out. Nonetheless, I'd still like to get the original dash back.  It is a BS23N car.

Also, the title is clear in my name.

Good luck with your search, nothing special to identify a rally dash to a specific car.
I'm assuming you're talking about the instrument cluster and not the actual dash with the VIN attached.

It's the entire dash pad, frame and cluster. I have the VIN number but not the tag.

Really sad that this happened to you.
I'm sure you can't  recommend the resto shop either.
Could they be held responsible?

I didn't own the car at the time. The shop actually parted out about 15 high end mopars. The closed the doors prior to the car owners knowing.  One owner actually had his numbers matching 4406 complete engine sold.

I know it's a shot in the dark. I don't blame the unknowing buyer. I don't expect to get it back free. I'm just trying to do my best to pull it back together.

I do all of my own resto work. Cant afford to pay someone else and frankly can't trust that it'll be done right.

You might want to post a partial VIN, person with the dash now probably doesn't even know the back story.

I'm no advocate for revenge or violence; but some angry person who was ripped off by those creeps may go after them with the intent of bodily harm.
Oh well,
Sad, but I hope they get was coming to them.

I don't wish anything bad to anyone.  Just hoping that "doing the right thing" prevails.  I've been doing business for nearly a decade and have never been cheated by a mopar customer.  Mopar fans are very honest.

Holy moly that sucks. Aren't there partial stampings of the vin stamped on various areas of the car? If by some miracle, you find it, you should have enough to legally get it back. It's yours and it belongs on your car, those numbers, and your documentation will tell a story. The fact that someone unwittingly, or wittingly, purchased it is irrelevant.

Of course, have you considered that you were told a story? Not saying anything one way or the other, but I'd hate to put a tone of effort into a search only to find out I was duped into a bad trade.

best of luck brother

I have known the car my entire life. The body numbers on the cowl and top radiator support all match the VIN. I have the clear title in my name and as you see it's very well documented. Just hoping whoever has the dash will come forward and help.

I also know the original owners of the car and all the owner history. I also met the owner of the shop that parted it out at several swap meets. I even seen parts that belonged to the car in his swap area. That was prior to me owning the car or knowing that he was parting it out without the owner's consent. Kieth Pope was the owner of the shop that did this several years ago. He is obviously missing in action.

Why don't you contact DataTags and get a new 1 made?
As a side note, I know you posted pic of VIN, but I would post the actual number, that way it would come up in a Google search.
If I had a dash with a VIN tags, I'd Google the number
