Wow.
You got your work ahead of you. Why did it end up in the woods?

Back in 1985 I came across this car and didn't have enough money to buy it, so my girlfriend put up the rest. I had the car 2 years and did a lot of work to it, but sold it when I got married to buy a house. I sold the car to my brother-in-law, he ran it for a year and sold it to the guy who let it set in the woods because of a blown trans. I've kept after him to buy it to no avail. Then without telling me he sells it to someone else. So after talking it over with my wife I decided to try and buy it from this guy. I would have to wait till the week end because I work 2nd shift. I was willing to go to $3000.00 to get it back. This is where it gets interesting!  Unknown to me, my wife and her cousins husband were haggeling all week with this guy and finally got the car for $2000.00. A friend of ours picked it up and brought her home on friday night. Friday is also our 17th wedding anniversary. So when I came home, I pulled into the driveway and they threw the outside lights on. There it was, red and black balloons all over it and happy anniversary across the windshield and my wife sitting on the hood with a big smile. My jaw was in lap. That was 6-25-04. I'll never forget it! My wife :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Cool story, my wife just wants me to clean up my "Junk yard" :dontknow: , but she did come with Me & my son to the drag races last sunday, so maybe there's hope. ;) She drove my orig 74 'Cuda for the first 4 years we were married, did not get attached I guess ::), then along came the little ones & away went the 'Cuda! :'(  Spent bout 20K already replacing a car I sold for 1,500! oh well, lifes cycles are pretty funny sometimes! :ack: Rich.
the orig, pic taken around 74 or 75, the replacement before I hacked into it, as it stands now & finally the 2nd replacement, optioned more like my old one, wrong color but I'm liking the B5 blue cars, ugly but drivable around town till I finish the first one!  ;D
