Forum Redesign 2
« on: October 01, 2017 - 11:54:17 PM »
So this wont be much of an announcement as most already know, but weve gone through some significant changes around here within the last week or so.  We have a completely redesigned home page and forum theme, something that ive been meaning to do for a long time.  People seem to be pretty happy with the homepage, which is good because that wont be going back.  I am resetting all members to use the new forum theme.  I will still be adjusting some parts about it over time, but for the most part how it looks now is how it will stay.  because i know some people may not be big fans of the new look, you can go back to the old if you choose.  If you go into Profile, there should be a link off the the side that says Look and Layout.  You will want to switch it back to Cuda-Challenger Old.

Weve also redesigned the Member Rides section.  I encourage people to take a look and if you want your car showcased there, then send an email to rmolney@gmail.com with all the pictures you and and a write up on your car.  As soon as I figure out how to edit the homepage, we will get back to updating Car of the Month on a regular basis.  I will use my own car for October, but November is up for grabs.  Anyone who wants to be november just send me an email, even if youve been COTM recently.  On the homepage there is a cool scroll section for previous COTMs, so you will get added in there once your month has passed.

Thats the jist for now.  Like i said there will still be some minor tweaks here and there, but this should be the bulk of it.  Remember, dont freak out if you dont like the new theme, you can switch back to the old one easily.  These changes i made were done out of some technical necessities, but if youre happy with the old you can still have that.  If you do see anything really bad with the new, like the all caps issues, try clearing out your cache and reloading.

So with all that out of the way, send me those Member Rides and COTM submissions!

Well version 2 is a big improvement, I will be trying it for the moment.
I haven't been getting any reply notifications since version 1 and the change back to the original? Hope this has been fixed!

Am I mistaken or is Cuda-challenger Challenger only since the home page shows a Challenger only.

I will be using the old theme.

RusTy

That is the car of the month.
If someone wants there challenger for car of the month where is the CUDA.
Make the Challenger TA smaller and add a Cuda nose to nose........

the main picture at the top is of my car.  had to work with what i had.  id be happy to switch it out with a pic that has both cars, or maybe make it a COTM thing where it gets rotated out every once in awhile.  i just had to be careful to only use pics i had permission to use...

Really glad you allowed members to switch back to older format. It works. The only feature that is really lacking in my opinion is the ability to easily attach a photo. Having to use a third party server like photobucket makes it a big chore to keep a project thread updated. And if my photobucket account ever has issues, the pictures disappear in the thread making the thread practically worthless.

Thanks! I look forward to that improvement if you're able to find a solution.

Aussie, I've been getting mine. Are you using the old forum? I wasn't getting them till I switched back to the old view.
