Just installed the headliner in my Cuda, seems daunting and confusing but is actually pretty straight forward. I do have hushmat stuck to the roof and a not too worried about it as the car will spend most of its life inside but that said that stuff is REALLY sticky and I don't think it is going to fall off anytime soon.

Some tips for anyone thinking of doing this; first buy/obtain about 4 boxes of mini binder clips from your local office supply store (or work...). Follow the online instructions to get the headliner into place, then use the binder clips liberally to begin to stretch it out. You have to work initially back to front, then side to side. You kind of work side to side and back to front simultaneously and this is where the binder clips really work, they allow you to stretch and reposition.

Yep, those are handy. I bought 10 or so of the OEM side clips on ebay and was able to really lock down the edges well with all of those.

I still have to install to install the side clips and glue down the sides to finish it off. I also have to poke the holes for the dome light and the shoulder belts. I have a local guy who makes seat belts working with me to develop a 3 point seat belt system.

I am in the process of wrapping up the install of a headliner.  I'm working with a local guy. I put in the rattle trap heat covering and the hemp glue on before installing the four bow.  Clips are key to keeping it centered and secured as it gets stretched into place.  The huge struggle we are having are the sail panels.  I can't seem to locate any installation instructions for those.  My kit came from legendary.  We wrapped the hardboard on the top and it lines up nicely with the window trim.  We left the edges loose and glued onto the lower fingers and wrapped the sides into the quarter window and the rear window.  We also tucked the board behind the lower finger bracket to achieve the contour but the top is not perfect.  We plan to use velcro to bring the top tighter to the roof. We think that we have i a plan but does anyone know if the coat hooks screw through he panel?

I didn't think the coat hooks were that far back, but I could be very wrong about that. I haven't yet went after the sail panels although I have new ones from Classic (as I recall), they already have material on them. I for one would appreciate it you could post some pics of your sail panel install, might save me some pain.

I printed that out when I did mine. I believe the pictures are of a B body; definitely not a 73 Ebody. In the last pic I think you can see the coat hook in the back corner right above the window opening, that said this car doesn't use the sail panels like a 73 Cuda, however I would think the hooks would be in a similar location.

Here's an article in Hemmings.  I can't see the coat hook here but the screw seems to be located within the upper bracket of the sail panel.  I'll get some pictures from my car.  Also beware that there seems to be a small void at the rear of the panel and the rear window where the panel, plastic panel and trim come together. I forgot about that one but I have seen it previously. You are right, you can clearly see the coat hook in the first picture. I don't think I even have        the coat hooks so I don't think I will be installing them anyway.
