Rear seat INSTALLATION??

Last thing to do is install the rear seats on the restoration.
Dumb question,,,but which goes in first ?? The bottom portion you sit on or the back portion you lean back against?

Back first, need to bolt it in near the bottom
Then bottom, need to push the seat loop into the hook on the floorboard

If you installed dynamat or other insulation, the install can be a little tougher... make sure the hooks for bottom seat bar are not twisted or bent down, which makes getting it hooked in properly difficult at best, impossible at worst...

ask me how I know...! I think someone threw a bare block in my back seat area, because driver's side hook on mine was bent down at rear by about 3/4 inch...

 Thanks, that's how I had tried it, need to figure out what size bolt holds the seat inside the bracket. Trying to put the bottom portion in seemed a little tight so I figured I should check before I forced it. Thanks again

The bottom brackets of the back seat upper portion are held by captivated washer screws that thread into the bracket mounts spotwelded to floor riser going to trunk area... seems like they were a 1/4" by 1" or 1-1/2" long below washer...
