Sorry to hear about your cam/spring issue! I'm running a flat tappet cam but changed the retainers and locks from 7 deg to 10 degree. Highly recommended if running a cam with over .500" lift (titianium as well for over 6000 rpm operation). If anyone is retro fitting with these heads be sure to check the piston to valve clearance. The piston valve pockets need to be large enough to accommodate the larger 2.19" intake valve. I'm using Icon pistons on this build and there is plenty of room. This may not be the case with earlier piston designs.
would hope that all these important details would be spelled out in a pamphlet from
Trick Flow when you buy these heads. I have reverse dome JE pistons. Hope they have the
necessary recess, before I buy the heads.
