this may be blathfemy to some but i'll ask anyway.  I've seen pictures in articles where seats from a Honda S2000 and a Mazda Miata have been used in 70 challenger.  has anyone had any luck with any other seats that require little modifications to make them fir in original floor holes?

Thats probably me, I am using Neon SRT seats in my Cuda. I am however using the original Ebody runners; is that how you tried them or were you using something else for runners?

I made mine out of flat bar. The short side bracket was only 1/2" thick.

Interesting, I will have to relook at mine. I put the runners on them and put them into the car and sat in them; at the time I thought they were fine but perhaps I wasn't really seeing it clearly. the car was gutted at the time so I will reinstall them now that I have carpet in and check.
