1970 R/T challenger h6e4 red interior parts wanted

Hi all,

I have a factory black tx9 and h6e4 trim.  Its currently plum crazy and black.

I am going to return it to factory colors so am looking for interior bits.

I have found most things aftermarket however the only thing i cant seem to buy new is the

Passenger side A/C duct.

In saying that the only pieces i currently have are the

left and right pieces under the steering column
drivers side a pillar cover
middle A/c

So if anyone has anything else they are willing to sell send me a message

red parts are very hard to find.  Buy anything you can get your hands on.

I see a lot of folks spray them the color they want. I was planning to do this with my faded orange interior. Is spraying them not a good route to go?

The Red pieces I have were sprayed black buy the previous owner of my car.  It looks very good and I am sure its going to be a right prick to get them back to red.  Only way you can pick they were sprayed is if it was scratched.

Too bad you can't find some chemical to loosen up that black paint so that a soft scotch bride could do the rest.

If I had to paint over black, I'd be tempted to start with some sort of white primer to hide the black so the red would cover nicer.

Use Sem plastic flexible primer before using the paint.  Napa carries the products.  They work great.  But you can tell the color change when they get scratched. 

I've painted lots of interiors.  I'm just a stickler for original parts.  Don't know why. 

I have been collecting red parts for some time now.  Still don't have a full original interior. 

There is a guy on here named shoooter.  I believe he had several red pieces that were sprayed and in excellent condition that were for sale.  You might want to hit him up.  Worth a try if your not absolutely after original.

I would prefer original plastics,  not real keen on spraying them red.  I could easily spray the plastics I already have but I would rather not.

I heard brake fluid works well at removing paint from plastics.  I did a little test patch and it seemed to work well.
