FiTech Six Pack EFI
« on: December 21, 2017 - 10:50:15 AM »
I've been researching EFI Six packs, and I recently saw that FiTech had a six pack at SEMA this year(2017). There are a few videos of other products where you can see it on YouTube, but none specifically about it. There isn't much talk of it anywhere I've found. I emailed FiTech and am awaiting a reply about possible release dates and more info. Has anyone here heard more about it? I tried to post a picture but it won't load correctly.  :woohoo:

So these are throttle bodies and no welding of injector bungs to manifold and fuel rails to contend with?

Yup.... FiTech stuff makes EFI about as simple as it can be.. The price is extremely reasonable & it works very well.... It's in the lower thirties here this morning & I guaranty I can go out to the garage, put the key in my Challenger & It'll fire up on the first twist of the key... It will idle clean & crisp... I can put it in gear way to soon & drive off without issue..... It runs as strong as the best running Holley I ever put on the car & when I leave home which is at sea level and drive it over Carson Pass @ 8600 feet it runs great, unlike any carb I ever tried...

I've heard this is going to sell for less than $2K which is in line with FiTech's other multi throttle body products.... By the time you buy a EFI tank, fuel pump & assorted parts you'll likely be in the $2750 range.... Absolute bargain IMO...

Do you need to run an o2 sensor?
Will an upgrade like this eliminate the fuel smell?

yes it has an O2 sensor...  Fuel smell on my car is 90+% better, there is still some but nothing like before... If I added cats it would be super clean but for me it's fine....

I am sure it will be like other Fitech kits, they have a O2 sensor included and very nifty mounting system; you don't have to weld it on rather you can use the gasket and clamps (or you can weld it). VERY easy install.

As to the smell, it should get better but unless you have Cats, it will still have an smell; in other words it will not be like a new car unless you install catalytic converters.

Kirk Spiger over at FiTech said they should be available late March, and that he didn't have much other info at the time. Which is fine, I should be doing body work at that point prepping for paint... if all goes according to plan (it never does) :woohoo: :cooldancing:

I like this... maybe in my future for my car... as I like the multi-carb setup... for my T/A.... used on road race tracks, etc.... driven to/from the tracks.
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

See  MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE, AUGUST 2006 ISSUE for featured article and details on my autocross T/A.

Any word whether it'll fit a OEM six-pack SHaker or air-grabber baseplate???

Or is this for GM tri-power setups?

Considering you can grab an air filter off a 427 Tri-Power & drop it on a 440-6... What's the question?  Oh, it won't fit a Tri-Power with Rochester carbs...
