I like this... maybe in my future for my car... as I like the multi-carb setup... for my T/A.... used on road race tracks, etc.... driven to/from the tracks.

I am pretty confident that the Fitech 6 pack will work pretty well and would be pretty cool for your application. I have F&B system and it looks AWESOME as well as working very well. The Fitech system will be more of a plug and play system I would like given their other products. I think that you would enjoy it quite a lot. Guess I will have to find another car/motor to build... Or I could put this one my 66 426 for my Roadrunner...  :bigsmile:

curious for this, would the linkage be linear or progressive (for the outer "carbs")?

I'm sure it's linear, with EFI there wouldn't be a bog because the fuel doesn't rely on a vacuum signal for atomization...

Looks like these are available now at Jeg's and Fitech directly. They are selling for $1,995. That's not a bad price, but when my engine gets closer to done, I'll have to look at them.

That's $1995 w/o an intake, fuel system, air cleaner or linkage, so factor that in. That said, still cheaper than F&B. Figure another $500-$700 for the fuel system (tank, pump, filter, lines and ends). An air cleaner will be around another $350 - $500 depending on which way you go. I suspect it will use factory linkage so that's around $100 - $150, and lastly the intake which runs about $430 depending on where you get it. So, all in you got about this;

EFI $1995
Tank and pump $500
fuel lines $200
Air cleaner $400
Linkage $130
Intake $430

Total = ~$3655

Very reasonable and I am sure it will work well. I have 2 F&B systems and I can say with confidence they were probably double that (each). I like the F&B system as it is direct port injection over throttle body but if these were out before I went the F&B route I am pretty sure I would be buying one now.

Sounds about right. In my case no matter what I do, I will some of the same cost. My plan is to do a Holley Sniper system at the moment. The tank that came with my car is rusted through, so I needed a tank anyway, plus I'm sure that I'll need some sort of linkage, and fuel lines as well. The other cost are higher for the six pack set up though. The Sniper is half the cost right at $1,000, air cleaner $75-250, intake $200-250 range. All this is in the future anyway, but fun to think about. Also, it might be a good thing to wait and see how the six pack system works before jumping in.

Completely understand. I have a Fitech Go 400 on my 52 Dodge PU and it was super easy to install and get working especially in comparison to my Challenger which has the F&B system with a Holley ECU and Hall Effect distributor. The Fitech will work with like 4 wires to connect (I suspect the Sniper is the same).

Regardless, I think you will like the EFI system once you get it going.

I hope someone becomes the guinea pig for this and posts all of the details.

My long stalled project is a clone 440-6 with shaker 71 cuda vert. I have all of the factory parts in various boxes and shelves.

From reading the 6bbl is not trivial to properly tune. EFI would be nice.

In reference to the 6BBL, msot problems stem from dealing with used "messed with" systems. If you are using new stuff or unaltered carbs, you can follow the FSM and get them running pretty well. A wide band O2 sensor will go a long way towards making it work really well. In my case, my bigger issue was a result of not driving or running the car frequently and it was always such a PIA to get it running. The EFI solves that as well as makes a much more efficient system whereas any carb is a compromise between idle, light throttle and WOT (a carb or carbs can only be tuned perfectly to one of these and the others become "ok") whereas EFI allows you to have perfect tuning for all throttle events.

The Fitech system self learns so you will have to live with what it determines it wants/needs. Most will prefer this however others will want more control that allows more fine tuning which Fitech won't really give you. Regardless, the Fitech 6 pack system should be much better for general driving overall.

I'm still curious if these fit standard 6-pack baseplate (air grabber, shaker, etc.)???

My understanding is yes they do...  It would be pretty foolish to not design it to fit...

i "believe" they do but I have never actually seen one personally, I agree it would be dumb not to design it to take the factory bases.
