1970 Cllenger RT Convert
« on: December 21, 2017 - 10:00:46 PM »
The search continues. I'm still looking for a nice 1970 Challenger RT convert for my collection. Looking for a U-code 440 Magnum 4bbl. Real numbers matching car with buildsheet, if possible. Must have the original, born with drivetrain and body numbers must match the VIN #. If you have one or know someone who might be thinking of selling, please let me know. I'll consider either automatic or 4-speed car. Any color combination. Great opportunity to sell without the auction fees and commissions.
Would be a Xmas present to myself.
Thanks,
Larry

There were only 163 440 R/T convertibles built and a few probably no longer exist so when you find one, you may not get much say in options and prices may not be very flexible. On the other hand, there were 692 of the same cars in 383 form giving you more choices, better pricing, and likely a shorter search.

You probably already know this and I certainly don't want to rain on your parade. I hope you find exactly what you want soon. You have great taste in cars!

Yes that's definately going to be a tough order to fill. If you come off some of your requirements let me know. I have a project U code Rt convertible half way through metal work but it's got a non numbers drivetrain and no fender tag.

Would consider a real V-code convert as well. I'll give one of them a call. Thanks.

I would consider a 6-pack Challenger RT convert. Unfortunately, most of the owners of the 6-pack cars have a bit of an inflated value on their cars. But I'm definitely open for discussion. Please reach out to them, or give me a call to discuss which 6-pack cars might be available. I've spoken to a couple of them already.
Thank you,
Larry
