What this site needs...
« on: September 20, 2002 - 07:49:02 AM »
I have been watching this site for quite a while now and I have post a few messages and such.  There is a few good guys on here but for the most part everyone is looking to steal something.  And you should change the name to the "cuda only"  posting board there is very little respect for challengers here and it sucks.  Thanks for the fun but I will stick with moparts. :)

It's too bad you feel that way   ???.  I own a Challenger along with many others here, and I have never felt that my car or my person was ever "not respected".  In contrast, I have seen mopar enthusiasts showing their pictures of Cudas and Challengers along with updates on their restos, and questions and answers to many different situations.  This site has been a great help to many, fun for all, and a great place just to jaw with other mopar enthusiasts.  Sorry you didn't enjoy it like the rest of us.  Hope you enjoy moparts.

well whatever.  cant please everyone.  i dont know what your talking about stealing or cudas vs challengers.  our member rides section is pretty balanced, with one more challenger then cuda in there.  my only complaint about the site is that i cant get it registered where i want it to be on the search engines so the growth has been pretty slow.  im tempted to just say the hell with it and pay one of those registration places and garuntee our spot on the engines.  moparts is ok and i cruise over there sometimes but its too saturated for my taste.

I like the site, but would like to see more activity.
I check somewhat regularily but there is not a lot of activity.
I hate to state a problem without a suggested solution... but the only thing I can think is an email to remind people of posts they made (default "Notify of replies instead on the need to click on it" or email reminders of interesting discussions.

By the Way.  I have 2 Cudas and I like Challenger just as much.  But I also like Chargers, Road Runners, etc etc etc.

Much as I can't understand why, not everyone is going to like it here.  I too would like to see more activity, but is seems to be increasing steadily.  As for everyone trying to steal something, so far I've bought things from members at reasonable cost and sold a thing or two at what I think was a decent price.  I've even been given a part or two, and believe me, it won't be forgotten.  All in all, a lot of folks seem to like it here, just look at the wagon trains heading for Carlisle from all points on the map. ;D

A beef posted without a suggested solution...well it's just hard to know what led madmopar to that conclusion. That's why this string is called site suggestions instead of site beefs.

wow bob, welcome to the site and i hope to heck you get your ride finished! everyone here is pretty much a good egg from what i've read. you'll get tons of good advice here.

i'm glad i found this place! ie. i'm sticking around!

no respect for the challenger?!? wtf? i think i speak for any chally guy when i say we feel every much a part of the board as any cuda owner. heck most of the discussions can go for either vehicle and i love learning about my car's older brother.  ;D

good riddance to you (i'm not mad, just a little peeved at how you just shat on everyone that's ever made me feel like i've got another mopar mentor in this forum). anyway my rant is over. i love you guys! hiccup! let's all move to mexico, buy a bar and live upsairs from it!

Couldn't even finish thinking to myself that "Rev was going to comment on that" when I scrolled down some more and saw her comment... lol...

Just and FYI keith... a long while ago, we had the top banner changed to sport some females in some very... well, skimpy swimsuits... it didn't fly, so I don't think the idea of females on top of E-bodies will either... as entertaining as that might be, save it for another board please.

So Sorry to hear about that Bob  :'( You'll get it finished mate and when you do, go hard mate  8) Man that really sucks.....

I thought I had it in the leg but got it checked up and it was only  (spelling?) Verigus veins, only at a starting stage an dthe doctor said they will probably stay like that for ages, but get them removed early and move on, so I did  :)

Send me the book only if you'd deliver a car to NZ, I'm a geniune guy and won't stuff people around, I get all my parts for the Challenger from the states  ;)

here's my email: dbdraught4me@hotmail.com

Once again sorry to hear about the mate  :(
