need engine advice please!
« on: March 17, 2018 - 07:41:22 AM »
hi everyone!
sorry if this is the wrong area to post.i am currently restoring my 73 Cuda.

Are mopar performance turn key crate engines good? has anyone had one and can give some feedback?

ive seen a 340 and 410 stroker with six packs for sale from mopar performance, and they seem pretty solid. i know its more expensive to do, but at this stage for me it may be more convenient to get a ready made package. As im restoring my car from the ground up, I want a new block in it.

thanks for the help!
Go catch a 'Cuda....if you can!

If you want to buy an engine from Mopar buy one thats currently in production... Their reputation for building engines that have been out of production for thirty pius years is not very good..

Oil burners, porous castings, valve seats that fall out.... Then they deny warranty because it's a "performance part"...
